On 25 June 2026, another information session for young media representatives was held at the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery within the framework of the Energy Dialogue Platform.
Delivering a presentation during the session, Emil Alkhasli, Managing Director of SOCAR Downstream LLC, provided an overview of the company’s diversified activities in the refining and petrochemical sector, highlighting the results and future projects. Khayal Jafarov, Director of the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery, spoke about the progress of the refinery’s modernization and reconstruction project, while Ergün Binboğa, Vice President for Technical Services at SOCAR Türkiye, presented the activities of SOCAR’s refining and petrochemicals business in Türkiye.
In his presentation, Orkhan Aliyev, Head of SOCAR’s Refining and Petrochemicals Business Management Department, spoke about SOCAR’s acquisition of Italiana Petroli shares from API Holding, as well as the company’s future prospects in Italy.
The session continued with a question-and-answer segment, during which questions raised by the media representatives were addressed.
Following the session, a field visit to the refinery was organized for the journalists.
